We sat there in silence for a solid minute, with nothing but the faint sound of music between us. I strained my ears, but couldn't make out the song this time. Finally, the girl stirred beside me and bumped my shoulder with hers. I suppose it was meant to be a comforting gesture, but I didn't feel particularly comforted.
